Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information IAm collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It's a general template -- if you're preparing IAm for a real launch, have it reviewed by counsel familiar with your users' jurisdictions (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA/CPRA in California) before publishing it as your actual policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
- Profile information you choose to add: name, headline, biography, photos, videos, experience, education, skills, and similar fields.
- Usage information: pages visited, QR code scans, search activity, and device/browser type, used to power your own analytics dashboard.
- Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. IAm never receives or stores your full card number.
How we use information
- To operate your profile, QR code, and public link.
- To show you analytics about your own profile's traffic.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and (if you opt in) product updates.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including detecting abuse.
Your choices
You control your profile's visibility (public, connections-only, or private), can disable recently-viewed and search-history tracking, can export your data at any time, and can block or report other users.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Certain security logs may be retained longer where required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.
